Compatibility of fuelsPetrol fuels conforming tothe EN228 standard con-taining up to 5% and 10%ethanol respectively.The only petrol fuel additives authorisedfor use are those that meet the B715001standard.Travelling abroadCertain fuels could damage your vehicle’sengine.In certain countries, the use of a particularfuel may be required (specific octane rating,specific trade name, etc.) to ensure correctoperation of the engine.For all additional information, consult a dealer.RefuellingFuel tank capacityPetrol / Hybrid approximately 55L andRechargeable Hybrid approximately 60LReserve level: approximately 6 litres.Low fuel levelWhen the low fuel level is reached,this warning lamp lights up on theinstrument panel, accompanied by thedisplay of a message and an audiblesignal. When it first comes on, about 6 litres offuel remain.Until sufficient fuel is added, this warning lampappears every time the ignition is switched on,accompanied by the message and the audiblesignal. When driving, this message and audiblesignal are repeated with increasing frequency asthe fuel level drops towards 0.You must refuel as soon as possible to avoidrunning out of fuel.A small arrow by the warning lampindicates which side of the vehicle the fuelfiller flap is located on.Stop & Start / e-Auto modeNever refuel with the engine in STOPmode or in stand-by; you must switch off theignition.RefuellingAny addition of fuel must be in quantities of atleast 10 litres, in order to be registered by thefuel gauge.Opening the filler flap may create a noise causedby an inrush of air. This vacuum is entirelynormal, resulting from the sealing of the fuelsystem.To refuel in complete safety:Always switch off the engine.For rechargeable hybrid vehicles only, tounlock the filler flap, press the flap unlockingbutton on the dashboard.Then to open, press the rear of the filler flap.For other types of vehicles, to open the fillerflap, with the vehicle unlocked, press the rearof the filler flap.Rechargeable hybrid vehiclesAfter pressing the button on thedashboard, the filler flap may not open forseveral minutes.If the flap becomes stuck, press and holdthe button on the dashboard for more than 3seconds.Select a pump that delivers the correct fueltype for the vehicle's engine (see a reminderlabel on the inside of the filler flap).Practical information1697
Turn the filler cap to the left, remove itand place it on its support on the filler flap(depending on version).Insert the filler nozzle and push it in as far aspossible before starting to refuel (to minimisethe risk of splashing).Fill the tank.Do not continue after the nozzle’s thirdcutout. Doing so may cause malfunctions.Put the filler cap back in place and turn it tothe right (depending on version).Push the fuel filler flap to close it.The vehicle is fitted with a catalytic converter,which helps to reduce the level of harmfulemissions in the exhaust gases.For petrol engines, you must use unleadedfuel.The filler neck is narrower, allowing onlyunleaded petrol nozzles to be inserted.If you have put in the wrong fuel forthe vehicle, you must have the fuel tankdrained and filled with the correct fuelbefore starting the engine.Electrified vehicles- GeneralrecommendationsThese recommendations and generalinformation concern electrified vehicles of thetype: hybrid, rechargeable hybrid and electric.High voltage systemHigh voltage system voltage is dangerousand can cause burns or other injuries oreven fatal electric shock.Since damage to high voltage components isnot visible, PEUGEOT recommends that you:– Never touch the components, damagedor not, and never let your jewelry or othermetallic objects come into contact with thesecomponents.– Never work on the high voltage cables(purple or orange) or on any other highvoltage component marked with the Electricrisk label. Any intervention on the highvoltage system must be carried out byqualified persons in workshops qualified andapproved to carry out this type of work.– Never damage, modify or remove thehigh voltage cables (purple or orange) ordisconnect them from the high voltagenetwork.– Never open, modify or remove the cover ofthe traction battery.– Never work with cutting and forming tools orheat sources near high voltage componentsand cables.Practical information170In case of low level of fluid in the coolingtank, the refilling shall only be performed ina qualified and trained workshop to verify thatthe leakage is not in the traction battery.Any intervention on the high voltage systemmust be carried out by qualified persons inworkshops qualified and approved to carryout this type of work.Damage to the vehicle or the traction batterycould result in the leakage of toxic gases orfluids either immediately or later. PEUGEOTrecommends that you:– Always inform the fire and emergencyservices in the event of an incident, warningthat the vehicle is equipped with a tractionbattery.– Never touch the liquids leaking from thetraction battery.– Do not inhale the gases emitted by thetraction battery which are toxic.– Move away from the vehicle in the event ofincident or accident, the gases emitted beingflammable and could cause a fire.
