km/h), the function switches to "Motorway" modeeven if the rear foglamps are activated."Motorway" modeAt any time, this lighting mode can be triggeredby the Automatic headlamp dipping functionindependent of the Adaptive Frontlight Systemfunction. This mode automatically adapts to the speedand angle of the steering wheel.Beyond 55 mph (90 km/h), the power and rangeof the lighting is maximised to best illuminate thelength and width of the roadway."Boost motorway" modeAt any time, this lighting mode can be triggeredby the Automatic headlamp dipping functionindependent of the Adaptive Frontlight Systemfunction. This mode automatically adapts to the speedand angle of the steering wheel.Beyond 70 mph (110 km/h), the power andrange of the lighting is maximised to bestilluminate the length and width of the roadway.Static bending lightingIn a bend situation, the light beam provides anadditional illumination of the road to the right orleft when the vehicle speed is 43 mph (70 km/h)or less. The system is triggered by curve radiusthresholds and vehicle speed. The phases of increasing and decreasing lightintensity are carried out gradually.Digital bending lightingIn a bend situation, the light beam moves aroundthe curve to match the main direction of thedriver's eyes, regardless of the vehicle speedand the bend radius. The lateral intensities of the low beam areshifted in the appropriate direction of the curve. The system activates the filled pixel elements toincrease/extend the light beam area.Peugeot Pixel LEDFor more information, refer tothe General recommendations forautomatic lighting systems. The Peugeot Pixel LED system has the AdaptiveFrontlight System function and also managesthe high beam in conjunction with the Automaticheadlamp dipping function. The Peugeot Pixel LED headlamps incorporatethree LED modules:–a "Pixel" module that varies the number ofLEDs lit and their intensity according to drivingconditions. This module manages the light flowsvertically and horizontally.-two "Low beam" modules whose intensityvaries with the Adaptive Frontlight System modeselected. All these LED modules contribute to the lightingin the low beam and high beam positions. This system automatically adapts the main beamaccording to the driving conditions, so thatoptimum illumination is maintained for the driver, without causing a nuisance to other road users. The driver remains responsible for thevehicle's lighting, its correct use in theprevailing light, visibility and traffic conditions, and for compliance with driving and vehicleregulations. The system is active from 28 mph (45km/h) and deactivates below 22 mph (35km/h).Activation/DeactivationPlace the ring of the lighting control stalk inthe “AUTO” position. This indicator lamp comes on in theinstrument panel. It is configured in the Settings > Ve-hicle touch screen application.Lighting and visibility76This mode is activated if the vehicle is moving ata speed between 0 and 43 mph (70 km/h) andthe rear foglamps are on.Beyond 43 mph (70
When deactivated, the lighting system changesto "Automatic illumination of lamps" mode.It is recommended that you deactivate thefunction in foggy or snowy conditions or incase of heavy mist. The function temporarily is deactivated whenthe system detects thick fog or when thefoglamps are switched on manually. This issignalled by the indicator lamp going off onthe instrument panel.OperationUsing a camera, the system detects the drivingconditions (brightness, lights from oncoming orfollowed vehicles, road turns) and adapts thebeams of the main headlamps accordingly. The modules that make up the main beamsswitch on and off gradually, segment bysegment, depending on the driving conditionsdetected.Nominal main beam lighting is restored as soonas the vehicle is no longer detected by thesystem. If the system is selected but the dis-play on the instrument panel and thealerts are not available, the indicatorlamp comes on in grey.Followed vehicleWhen approaching a vehicle from behind, onlythose lamp segments directed at the followedvehicle go off, thereby creating a "tunnel" so asnot to dazzle its driver.Oncoming vehicleWhen an oncoming vehicle approaches, onlythose lamp segments directed at this vehiclego off, thereby creating a "tunnel" during theduration of the approach.Entering an illuminated areaAt the entrance to an illuminated area (e.g. atown), the lamp segments are gradually switchedoff from the outside to the inside of the vehicle toswitch to the dipped beams.Exiting an illuminated areaThe lamp segments gradually light up from theinside to the outside of the vehicle to restore themain beams.Highway restrictionThe system cannot detect the presence ofoncoming vehicles on a roadway separated bya low wall or safety rail. Therefore, the system reduces the light beam onthe side of the central separation in order not todazzle the driver of an oncoming vehicle. In a bend situation, the restriction angle isadjusted according to the curve radius.Anti-glare for traffic signsSome traffic signs may be more dazzling tothe driver due to the light reflection of LEDheadlamps. The system can modulate the light intensitysent to traffic signs and thus reduce the lightreflection to avoid driver glare.High beam boostThe high beam amplification provides anadditional illumination in the centre of the highbeam to improve the light distribution whendriving at higher speeds.PausePause If the situation requires a change ofheadlamp beam, the driver can take over at anytime.Switch the dipped/main beam headlampsmanually to pause the function. The lighting system changes to "Automaticillumination of lamps" mode.Lighting and visibility774The state of the system is stored when theignition is switched off.
To reactivate the function, manually switchthe dipped/main beam headlamps again.MalfunctionIn the first case, this warning lampis displayed on the instrument panel, accompanied by a message if thesensor is masked. This is a normal behavior, which does notrequest the support of a qualified workshop.Stop the vehicle and verify if the front camera iscovered by dirt, mud, sand, snow, ice or anythingpreventing the sensing. The system is operational again after thedetection field has been cleaned. In the second case, this warning lampis displayed on the instrument panel, accompanied by an audible signal anda message if a malfunction occurs withthe adaptive headlamp lighting or the camera.Have it checked by a PEUGEOT dealer or aqualified workshop.Do not cover the rain/sunshine sensorlocated at the top centre of the windscreenbehind the interior rear view mirror; theassociated functions would no longer becontrolled.Wiper control stalkBefore operating the wipers in wintryconditions, clear any snow, ice or frostfrom the windscreen and around the wiperarms and blades.Do not operate the wipers on a drywindscreen. In extremely hot or coldweather, check that the wiper blades are notstuck to the windscreen before operating thewipers. After using an automatic car wash, youmay temporarily notice abnormal noisesand poorer wiping performance. You do notneed to replace the wiper blades.Windscreen wipersTo select the wiping speed: raise or lower thestalk to the desired position.Fast wiping (heavy rain)Normal wiping (moderate rain)Automatic wipingSwitching offSingle wipeAfter the ignition has been switched offand the windscreen wiper is no longeroperated (wiper control stalk set to 0 or noautomatic wiping for more than 30 seconds),the wipers may move slightly at the foot of thewindscreen. In position 1 or 2, the wiping frequency isautomatically reduced when the speed ofthe vehicle drops below 3 mph (5 km/h).When the speed is above 6 mph (10 km/h)again, the wiping frequency returns to theoriginal frequency (fast or normal).Single wipeIf the wiper control stalk is:In the AUTO position, pull the stalk brieflytowards you then release it.In the 0 position, press briefly on the stalkthen release it.Lighting and visibility78
