From the inside, with the ignition on, placecontrol A in the central position.Pull control A backwards.Lock the vehicle from the outside.If the mirrors are folded using control A,they will not unfold when the vehicle isunlocked.Electric unfoldingFrom outside: unlock the vehicle.From inside: with the ignition on, placecontrol A in the central position and then pullit rearwards.The automatic folding/unfolding of the doormirrors is configured in the Settings >Vehicle touch screen application.Before using an automatic car wash, fold themirrors.Automatic tilting in reverse gearDepending on version, this function allows you toautomatically tilt the mirrors downwards to assistwith parking manoeuvres in reverse gear.With the engine running, on engaging reversegear, the mirror glasses tilt downwards.They each return to their original positions:– A few seconds after coming out of reversegear.– Once the vehicle speed exceeds 6 mph (10km/h).– When the engine is switched off.It can be activated/deactivated in theSettings > Vehicle touch screen ap-plication.The inclination of the mirrors is differentbetween the two sides. It is more importanton the passenger side to show more of theground.Electrochrome interior rearview mirrorThe electrochrome system uses a sensor thatdetects the level of exterior brightness and thatcoming from the rear of the vehicle, in order toautomatically and gradually switch between dayand night usage.To ensure optimum visibility whilemanoeuvring, the mirror automaticallybrightens when reverse gear is engaged.The system is inoperative if the load in theboot exceeds the height of the load spacecover or if the load space cover has itemsplaced on it.Second row seatsRear head restraintsThey have two positions:– A high position, for when the seat is in use:Pull the head restraint fully up.– A low position, for stowing, when the seat isnot in use:Press the lug Ato release the head restraintand push it down.The rear head restraints can be removed.Removing a head restraintRelease the backrest using control 1.Ease of use and comfort533
Tilt the backrest slightly forwards.Pull the head restraint fully up.Press the lug A to release the head restraintand remove it completely.Never drive with passengers seated atthe rear when the head restraints areremoved; the head restraints should be inplace and in the high position.The head restraint for the centre seatand those for the outer seats are notinterchangeable.Folding the backrestsManoeuvring the backrests should only bedone when the vehicle is stationary.First steps:Lower the head restraints.If necessary, move the front seats forward.Check that no person or object mightinterfere with the folding of the backrests(e.g. clothing, luggage).Check that the seat belts are free, notengaged in the buckles. Release them sothat the backrest can be moved.Press the backrest release grip 1.Guide the backrest 2 down to the horizontalposition.When the backrest is released, the redindicator in the release grip is visible.Central backrestThe central section of the backrest may befolded down independently of the side sections.Check in advance that the rear armrest isnot folded down and that the central headrestraint is not raised.From inside the passenger compartment orfrom the boot, pull on the strap to release.Fold the backrest onto the seat cushion.When repositioning, lift up the backrest fullyuntil it locks.Repositioning the backrestsFirst check that the outer seat belts arelying vertically flat alongside the backrestlatching rings.Put the backrest 2 in the upright position andpush it firmly to latch it home.Check that the red indicator is no longervisible in the release grip 1.Ensure that the outer seat belts were nottrapped during the operation.Please note: an incorrectly latchedbackrest compromises the safety ofpassengers in the event of sudden braking oran accident.The contents of the boot may be thrownforwards - risk of serious injury!Ease of use and comfort54
On/OffThe control buttons for each side seat arelocated at the rear of the centre console.Press the button corresponding to the seat.Each press changes the heating level; thecorresponding number of indicator lampscome on.To switch off the heating, press the buttonuntil all of the indicator lamps are off.The function status is memorised when theignition is switched off.The function is active only with the enginerunning and when the outside temperature isbelow 20°C.Do not use the function when the seatis not occupied.Reduce the heating intensity as soon aspossible.When the seat and passenger compartmenthave reached a satisfactory temperature,switch the function off; reducing electricalconsumption in turn decreases energyconsumption.Prolonged use of heated seats is notrecommended for people with sensitiveskin.There is a risk of burns for people whoseperception of heat is impaired (e.g. illness,taking medication).To keep the heated pad intact and to preventa short circuit:– Do not place heavy or sharp objects on theseat.– Do not kneel or stand on the seat.– Do not spill liquids onto the seat.– Never use the heating function if the seat isdamp.Third row seatsBefore moving the seat backwards, ensurethat there is no person or object that mightprevent the full travel of the seat.There is a risk of trapping or pinchingpassengers if present in the rear seats or ofjamming the seat if large objects are placedon the floor behind the seat.Accessing third row seatsThe third row seats are accessed via the secondrow side seats.From the outside or from the third row seats:Pull paddle D and guide the backrestforwards to tilt it and move the seat forwards.To put the seat back in place:Straighten the backrest until the seat locks.Whatever the initial position of the seat, it isplaced automatically a third of the way alongthe longitudinal adjustment range in order topreserve enough space for passengers in thethird row seats.If this system fails (paddle D),the third rowpassengers can also get out after havingfolded the backrest of the second row seatsusing strap.Do not let children operate the seatsunsupervised.Ease of use and comfort553
