The connection of an electrical device notapproved by PEUGEOT, such as a USBcharger, may adversely affect the operation ofvehicle electrical systems, causing faults suchas poor radio reception or interference withdisplays in the screens.USB socketsThese symbols determine the type of use of aUSB socket:Power supply and recharging.Likewise, plus use of smartphone ap-plications with the touch screen.USB sockets allow the connection of a portabledevice.The USB socket located at thefront of the centre console alsoallows a smartphone to beconnected by Android Auto®or CarPlay®, enabling certain smartphoneapplications to be used on the touch screen.For best results, use a cable made or approvedby the device manufacturer.These applications can be managed using thesteering-mounted controls or the audio systemcontrols.When the USB socket is used, theportable device charges automatically.While charging, a message is displayed if thepower drawn by the portable device exceedsthe current supplied by the vehicle.For more information about how to use thisequipment, refer to the sections describingthe audio and telematics systems.Wireless smartphonechargerThis system allows wireless charging of aportable device such as a smartphone, using themagnetic induction principle, in accordance withthe Qi 1.1 standard.The portable device to be charged must becompatible with the Qi standard, either by designor by using a compatible holder or shell.A mat can also be used provided that it isapproved by the Manufacturer.The charging area is identified by the Qi symbol.The charger works with the engine running andwith the Stop & Start system in STOP mode.Charging is managed by the smartphone.With the Keyless Entry and Start system, thecharger’s operation may be briefly disruptedwhen a door is opened or the ignition is switchedoff.ChargingWith the charging area clear, place a devicein its centre.When the portable device isdetected, the charger’s indicatorlamp lights up green.
