Unintended lane departure is not assumed bythe system when the turn lights are operated andduring few seconds after turn lights have beenswitched off.No warning will be issued with a dynamic driving,i.e. pressure on the brake or accelerator pedal orheavy steering. When the system recognises an un-intended lane departure, the controlindicator rapidly flashes yellow.Operating conditionsFor a correct operation of the system, thefollowing preconditions have to be fulfilled:vehicle speed must be between approx. 65km/h and 180 km/hthe turn lights are not activatedno dynamic driving, i.e. pressure on thebrake or accelerator pedallane boundaries can be clearly detected bythe systemthe vehicle is not driven in a tight cornerno system fault is present which preventscorrectionsActivation/DeactivationActivationIf the system is activated, the LED in the buttonis not illuminated. To activate the system, press the button.Depending on version, the system isautomatically reactivated at the next vehiclestart.DeactivationTo deactivate the system, press andhold . The LED in the button is illumi-nated and illuminates yellow in theinstrument panel.FaultThis symbol appears in the Driver In-formation Centre in the event of afault, accompanied by a display mes-sage and a warning chime. Seek theassistance of a workshop.Operation limitationsThe system performance may be affected by:covered camera by snow, ice, slush, mud, dirt, or affected by windscreen damage orforeign items, e.g. stickersclose vehicles aheadbanked roadswinding or hilly roadspoor lighting conditionssudden lighting changesshining sun directly into the camera lensadverse environmental conditions, e.g. heavyrain, fog, or snowvehicle modifications, e.g. tyresroads with poor lane markingsMalfunctionIf the event of a malfunction, thiswarning lamp appears in the instru-ment panel, accompanied by the dis-play message and an audible signal.Have it checked by a PEUGEOT dealer or aqualified workshop.Long-distance blind spotmonitoringFor more information, refer to the Generalrecommendations on the use of drivingand manoeuvring aids. This system warns the driver of vehiclesapproaching rapidly from the rear in adjacentlanes (up to around 75 m) and of the presence ofa vehicle in the blind spots of their vehicle, usingcorner radars located in the rear bumper.Driving158
This system takes into account vehiclessuch as cars, lorries and motorcycles bymonitoring the blind spots or areas hiddenfrom the driver's field of vision.A warning lamp appears in the door mirror onthe side in question:Fixed, immediately when another vehicle is inthe blind spot or is approaching in an adjacentlane.– Flashing, after about 1 second when thedirection indicator is used.Activation/DeactivationIt is configured in the ADAS touchscreen application. When starting the vehicle, the warning lampcomes on in each mirror to indicate that thesystem is activated. The system is automatically deactivatedwhen towing with a towing deviceapproved by PEUGEOT.Operating conditions– All vehicles are moving in the same directionand in adjacent lanes.– When overtaking a vehicle, the speeddifference is less than 9 mph (15 km/h).– Traffic is flowing normally.– Overtaking a vehicle over a certain period oftime and the vehicle being overtaken remains inthe blind spot.Operating limitsNo alert is triggered in the following conditions:– presence of stationary objects (e.g. parkedvehicles, safety rails, lampposts, signs).– vehicles travelling in the opposite direction.– if the rear bumper is damaged. It is possible that warnings are not given, are given too late or seem unjustified. This system does not replace the need forvigilance on the part of the driver. Alwayscheck in the mirrors and look over yourshoulders before changing lanes to avoid anaccident. In the event of repairing or repainting therear bumper, contact a PEUGEOT dealeror a qualified workshop; certain types ofpaint could interfere with the operation of theradars.MalfunctionIf the event of a malfunction, thiswarning lamp lights up on the instru-ment panel, accompanied by the dis-play of a message.Have it checked by a PEUGEOT dealer or aqualified workshop. The system may be temporarily disturbedby certain weather conditions (e.g. heavyrain, hail or extreme temperature changes). In particular, driving on a wet road or goingfrom a dry to a wet area can cause falsealerts (e.g. presence of a cloud of waterdroplets in the blind spot interpreted as avehicle). In bad or wintry weather, ensure that theradars are not covered by mud, ice or snow.Take care not to cover the warning zonein the door mirrors, or the detection zoneson the rear bumper, with adhesive labels orother objects; they may hamper the correctoperation of the system.Driving1596
This system detects and signals the proximity ofobstacles (e.g. pedestrian, vehicle, tree, barrier)using sensors located in the bumper.Rear parking sensorsSystem startup is available under the followingconditions:– when reverse gear is engaged.– when the vehicle is moving backwards (e.g.downhill, in neutral). It is indicated by an audible confirmation signaland a display indication. If an obstacle is detected as soon asthe reverse gear is engaged, an audibledetection signal is given directly instead of theaudible confirmation signal. If no audible signal is given, the displayindication is not shown or a warning messageappears, the system has a failure.Audible assistanceDepending on version, in the example shown, only the obstacles present in the shaded areawill be signalled by the audible assistance. The system signals the presence of obstacleswhich are both within the sensors’ detectionzone and in the vehicle path defined by thedirection of the steering wheel. The proximity information is given by anintermittent audible signal, the frequency ofwhich increases as the vehicle approaches theobstacle. When the distance between the vehicleand the obstacle becomes less than aboutthirty centimetres, the audible signal becomescontinuous. The sound emitted by the speaker (right orleft) indicates the side on which the obstacle islocated. The audible signal is automatically suspendedwhen the vehicle is stationary for a few seconds. The audible signal is automatically restoredwhen the vehicle is moving again or if theobstacle approaches the vehicle.Adjusting the audible detection signalPressing this button opens the window foradjusting the volume of the audiblesignal.Pressing this button mutes/unmutesthe audible signal.A message is displayed to indicatethat the audible signal is temporarilymuted.Visual assistanceThis supplements the audible signal, withouttaking account of the vehicle's trajectory, bydisplaying bars on the screen whose locationrepresents the distance between the obstacleand the vehicle (white: more distant, orange:close, red: very close). When the obstacle is very close, the "Danger"symbol is displayed on the screen.Closing the system display windowPressing this button closes the systemdisplay window. This warning lamp flashes during ob-stacle detection on the instrumentpanel.Driving160Parking sensorsFor more information, refer to the Generalrecommendations on the use of drivingand manoeuvring aids.
