Operating limitsThe system goes into standby automatically inthe following cases:– ESC deactivated or operation triggered.– Speed below 40 mph (65 km/h) or greater than112 mph (180 km/h).– Electrical connection to a trailer.– Use of a "space-saver" spare wheel detected(as detection is not immediate, deactivation ofthe system is recommended).– Dynamic driving style detected, pressure onthe brake or accelerator pedal.– Driving over lane markings.– Activation of the direction indicators.– Crossing the inside line on a bend.– Driving on a tight bend.– Inactivity by the driver detected duringcorrection.– Narrow lane detected.The following situations may interfere withthe operation of the system or prevent itfrom working:– Insufficient contrast between the roadsurface and the verge or hard shoulder (e.g.shade).– Lane markings worn, hidden (e.g. snow,mud) or multiple (e.g. roadworks).– Close proximity to the vehicle in front (lanemarkings may not be detected).– Roads that are narrow, winding.Risk of undesirable operationThe system should be deactivated in thefollowing situations:– When changing a wheel or working near awheel.– Towing or with a bicycle carrier on a towingdevice, especially with trailer not plugged in ornot approved.– Road in poor condition, unstable or with verypoor grip (risk of aquaplaning, snow, ice).– Adverse weather conditions.– Driving on racing circuits.– Driving on a rolling road.Deactivation/ActivationBy default, the system is automatically activatedat every engine start.It is configured in the ADAS touchscreen application.orDirect access to the Shortcuts for driving aids.Deactivation is confirmed by the illu-mination of this indicator lamp on theinstrument panel.MalfunctionThis warning lamp lights up on theinstrument panel with the message"Audible Warning System fault:Repair needed" if the audible warningsystem is in failure.The system may be disturbed or unavailable.Have it checked by a PEUGEOT dealer or aqualified workshop.In the event of a malfunction,these warning lamps lightup on the instrument panel,accompanied by the display ofa message and an audible signal.Have it checked by a PEUGEOT dealer or aqualified workshop.This warning lamp lights up on theinstrument panel with the message"Driving Assistance Sensor blind:Clean sensor, see User Manual" ifthe sensor is masked.This is a normal behavior, which does notrequest the support of a qualified workshop.In this case, stop the vehicle and verify if thefront camera is covered by dirt, mud, sand,snow, ice or anything preventing the sensing.The system is operational again after thedetection field has been cleaned.Lane Departure WarningDue to legal requirements,the systemcan only be deactivated in the vehiclepersonalization until the next time the ignitionis reactivated.The system is automaticallyactivated by default every time the engine isstarted.The lane departure warning system supports thedriver to avoid unintended leaving of the lane.The front camera observes road edges, as wellas the lane markings between which the vehicleis driving. If the vehicle crosses a road edge or alane marking, the system warns the driver.Driving1576
Unintended lane departure is not assumed bythe system when the turn lights are operated andduring few seconds after turn lights have beenswitched off.No warning will be issued with a dynamic driving,i.e. pressure on the brake or accelerator pedal orheavy steering.When the system recognises an un-intended lane departure, the controlindicator rapidly flashes yellow.Operating conditionsFor a correct operation of the system, thefollowing preconditions have to be fulfilled:vehicle speed must be between approx. 65km/h and 180 km/hthe turn lights are not activatedno dynamic driving, i.e. pressure on thebrake or accelerator pedallane boundaries can be clearly detected bythe systemthe vehicle is not driven in a tight cornerno system fault is present which preventscorrectionsActivation/DeactivationActivationIf the system is activated, the LED in the buttonis not illuminated.To activate the system, press the button.Depending on version, the system isautomatically reactivated at the next vehiclestart.DeactivationTo deactivate the system, press andhold . The LED in the button is illumi-nated and illuminates yellow in theinstrument panel.FaultThis symbol appears in the Driver In-formation Centre in the event of afault, accompanied by a display mes-sage and a warning chime. Seek theassistance of a workshop.Operation limitationsThe system performance may be affected by:covered camera by snow, ice, slush, mud,dirt, or affected by windscreen damage orforeign items, e.g. stickersclose vehicles aheadbanked roadswinding or hilly roadspoor lighting conditionssudden lighting changesshining sun directly into the camera lensadverse environmental conditions, e.g. heavyrain, fog, or snowvehicle modifications, e.g. tyresroads with poor lane markingsMalfunctionIf the event of a malfunction, thiswarning lamp appears in the instru-ment panel, accompanied by the dis-play message and an audible signal.Have it checked by a PEUGEOT dealer or aqualified workshop.Long-distance blind spotmonitoringFor more information, refer to the Generalrecommendations on the use of drivingand manoeuvring aids.This system warns the driver of vehiclesapproaching rapidly from the rear in adjacentlanes (up to around 75 m) and of the presence ofa vehicle in the blind spots of their vehicle, usingcorner radars located in the rear bumper.Driving158
