Peugeot 5008 2024- 2025 Owner's Manual Driving Adaptive cruise control

For more information on Adaptive cruisecontrol and Lane positioning assist, refer tothe corresponding sections. The system assists the driver by actingon the steering, acceleration and brakingwithin the physical limits and capacitiesof the vehicle. Certain road infrastructureelements or vehicles in the surroundingsmay not be properly seen or may be poorlyinterpreted by the camera and radar, resultingin an unexpected change in direction, a lackof steering correction and/or inappropriatemanagement of acceleration or braking.Primarily designed for driving on mainroads and motorways, this system onlyworks with moving vehicles driving in thesame direction as your vehicle.Selecting/Deselecting thesystemPress this button successively until theDrive Assist Plus mode is displayed on theinstrument panel.ASSISTAfter a few seconds, the Drive Assist Plusmode is selected. The Driving aids area isdisplayed on the instrument panel. The colour of the symbols, representing the steering wheeland the side lines, depends on theoperating state of the system:(grey) One or more operating con-ditions is not met; the system ispaused.(green) All operating conditions aremet; the system is active.(orange) System malfunction.Press this button successively again until theOFF mode is displayed on the instrumentpanel. After a few seconds, the Drive Assist Plusmode is deselected. The Driving aids areadisappears.Drive Assist Plus 2.0This system automatically regulates the speedand corrects the trajectory of the vehicle bycombining the following functions:– Drive Assist Plus with Adaptive cruise controlwith Stop&Go function and Lane positioningassist.– Semi-automatic lane changing.– Speed setting advance recommendation. For more information on these functions, refer tothe corresponding sections. The availability of the system depends on thecountry you are driving in.This system is only to be used on eligiblemotorways and main roads.Selecting/Deselecting thesystemIt is configured in the ADAS touchscreen application.Select the Functions tab, then select/deselect Drive Assist. The system's status is saved when the ignition isswitched off.Adaptive cruise controlFor more information, refer to the Generalrecommendations on the use of drivingand manoeuvring aids and the Specificrecommendations on cruise control. This system automatically maintains the vehiclespeed at a value set by the driver (speedsetting), while respecting a safety distance fromthe vehicle in front (target vehicle) previously setby the driver. The system automatically managesthe acceleration and deceleration of the vehicle. With the Stop function (with the EAT6automatic gearbox), the system managesbraking until the vehicle comes to a completestop. With the Stop & Go function (with the e-DCS6/7 automatic gearbox or drive selector), theDriving136
system manages braking until the vehicle comesto a complete stop and restarts the vehicle. The brake lamps come on if the vehicle isslowed down by the system. The system is not operational in the event ofa brake lamp failure. To do this, the system uses a camera fitted atthe top of the windscreen and a radar fitted inthe front bumper.Primarily designed for driving on mainroads and motorways, this system onlyworks with moving vehicles driving in thesame direction as your vehicle. If the driver activates the direction indicatorto overtake a slower vehicle, cruise controlmay temporarily reduce the distance to thetarget vehicle to facilitate overtaking, withoutexceeding the speed setting.Steering-mounted controls1.Selection/Deselection of cruise control onlyor Drive Assist Plus (depending on version)2.Switch on/Pause cruise control at thepreviously saved speed settingConfirmation of vehicle restart afterautomatic stop (version with Stop & Gofunction)3.Increase the speed setting (if cruise controlactivated) Activation of cruise control inprogress (if cruise control deactivated)4.Decrease the speed setting (if cruisecontrol activated) Activation of cruisecontrol in progress (if cruise controldeactivated)5.Activation of cruise control in progressUse the speed suggested by the Roadsigns recognition function6.Display and configuration of the inter-vehicle distance settingFor more information on the Road signsrecognition function, refer to the correspondingsection.Information displayed onthe instrument panel7.Cruise control activated (green)/paused(grey)8.Speed setting value9.Speed suggested by the Road signsrecognition function10.Vehicle held stationary (version withStop&Go function)11.Inter-vehicle distance setting12.Position of the vehicle detected by thesystemDriving1376
