Electronic key withremote control functionand built-in keyRemote control functionThe remote control can be used to performthe following remote functions (depending onversion):– Unlocking/Locking/Deadlocking the vehicle.– Unlocking - Opening/Closing- Locking theboot.– Folding/Unfolding the door mirrors.– Activating/Deactivating the alarm.– Locating the vehicle.– Closing the windows.– Closing the sunroof.– Activating the vehicle’s electronic immobiliser.Back-up procedures allow the vehicle to belocked/unlocked in the event of a failure of theremote control, the central locking, the battery,etc. For more information on the Back-upprocedures, refer to the corresponding section.Built-in keyUsing the remote control built-in key, you canperform the following operations (depending onversion):– Activation/Deactivation of the manual childlock.– Activation/Deactivation of the front passengerairbag.– Back-up Unlocking/Locking of the doors.To eject the key or put it back in place, pulland hold the button.Once the built-in key is ejected, alwayskeep it with you to be able to carry out thecorresponding back-up procedures.Unlocking the vehicleSelective unlocking (driv-er’s door, boot) is config-ured in the Settings > Ve-hicle touch screen applica-tion.Complete unlockingIf the selective unlocking is deactivated,press the unlocking button.Selective unlockingDriver's doorPress the unlocking button.The driver's door and the fuel filler flap areunlocked (Petrol or Hybrid).The driver's door and the charging flap areunlocked (Rechargeable hybrid or Electric).Press it again to unlock the other doors andthe boot.The charging nozzle can be unplugged on thesecond press.Complete or selective unlocking, and alarmdeactivation (depending on version), isconfirmed by the flashing of the directionindicators and the lighting of the daytime runninglamps.Depending on version, the door mirrors unfold.Selective unlocking and opening of thetailgateBy default, selective unlocking of the tailgateis deactivated and its motorised operation isactivated.With a motorised tailgate: pressand hold this button to unlockthe boot and trigger the motorisedopening of the tailgate.With a non-motorised tailgate: press and holdthis button to unlock the boot and partiallyopen the tailgate.Access30
When selective unlocking of the tailgate isactivated, the doors and the fuel filler flap remainlocked.After a selective unlocking of the tailgate, if thevehicle has not been fully unlocked, the tailgatewill automatically relock after closing.If selective unlocking of the tailgate isdeactivated, pressing the button unlocks thewhole vehicle.If motorised operation of the tailgate isdeactivated, pressing the button partiallyopens the tailgate.To lock the vehicle, it is necessary to closethe tailgate again.Locking the vehicleDepending on version, theactivation/ deactivation ofthe lock audible signal isconfigured in the Settings> Vehicle touch screen ap-plication.Normal lockingIgnition off, press the locking button.The locking, and the activation of the alarmdepending on version, is confirmed by thelighting of the direction indicators.Depending on version, the door mirrors fold.An access (door or boot) that is notproperly closed prevents locking of thevehicle. However, if the vehicle is fitted withan alarm, it will be activated after 45 seconds.If the vehicle is unlocked but the doorsor boot are not subsequently opened, thevehicle will automatically lock itself again afterabout 30 seconds. If the vehicle is fitted withan alarm, it will be reactivated automatically.DeadlockingDeadlocking renders the interior doorcontrols inoperative. It also disables thecentral locking button.The horn remains operational.Never leave anyone inside the vehiclewhen it is deadlocked.Ignition off, press the locking button.Press the locking button again within 3seconds to deadlock the vehicle (confirmedby the temporary lighting of the directionindicators).For the vehicles equipped with the ProximityKeyless Entry and Start system, a doubleaudible signal indicates that the vehicle is notdeadlocked.Closing the windows and sunroofTo completely close the windows and,depending on version, the sunroof, press thelocking button for more than 2 seconds.An audible signal sounds in the passengercompartment before the start of movement towarn any occupants.Press again to stop closing.Ensure that no person or object couldprevent the correct closing of the windowsand sunroof.If, on versions with alarm, you want toleave the windows and/or sunroof partiallyopen, you must first deactivate the interiorvolumetric alarm protection.For more information on the Alarm, refer tothe corresponding section.Locating the vehicleThis function helps you to spot your vehicle froma distance, with the vehicle locked:– The direction indicators flash for approximately10 seconds.– The door mirror spotlamps come on.– The courtesy lamps come on.Make a short press on this but-ton.Access312
AdviceRemote controlThe remote control is a sensitive,highfrequency device; avoid handling it inyour pocket, due to the risk of unintentionallyunlocking the vehicle.Avoid pressing the remote control buttonswhile out of range of the vehicle, due tothe risk of rendering the remote controlinoperative. It would then be necessary toreset it.Anti-theft protectionDo not modify the electronic vehicleimmobiliser, as this might result inmalfunctions.Locking the vehicleDriving with the doors locked could makeit more difficult for the emergency servicesto enter the passenger compartment in anemergency.As a safety precaution, remove the key fromthe ignition or take the electronic key with youwhen leaving the vehicle, even for a shorttime.Purchasing a second-hand vehicleHave the key codes memorised by aPEUGEOT dealer, to ensure that the keys inyour possession are the only ones able tostart the vehicle.Proximity Keyless Entryand StartThis is a Keyless Entry and Start system.It enables automatic vehicle locking/unlockingsimply by detecting the electronic key.As long as the driver has the electronic keyon their person, the vehicle unlocks as theyapproach and locks when they walk away.Key recognition zones:Zone A: welcome lighting on approaching thevehicle (between 2 and 5 metres from thevehicle).Zone B: automatic locking on moving away fromthe vehicle (about 2 metres from the vehicle).Zone C: automatic unlocking on approachingthe vehicle (between 1 and 2 metres from thevehicle).Automatic functions are configured inthe Settings > Vehicle touch screenapplication.Unlocking the vehicleSelective unlocking (driver’s door,boot) is configured in the Settings >Vehicle touch screen application.Complete unlockingThe vehicle (doors and boot) unlocks:Either automatically as the driver approachesin zone C, if the automatic functions areactivated.Or by gently pressing the driver's door handleor the button on the boot.Unlocking, and alarm deactivation (dependingon version), is confirmed by the flashing of thedirection indicators and lighting of the daytimerunning lamps.Depending on version, the door mirrors unfold.Access32
