When washingWhen washing the vehicle in an automaticcar wash, do not forget to lock and moveaway from the vehicle to prevent any risk ofunwanted opening.Alarm(Depending on version)System which protects and provides a deterrentagainst theft and break-ins.Exterior perimeter monitoringThe system checks for opening of the vehicle.The alarm is triggered if anyone tries to open adoor, the boot or the bonnet, for example.Interior volumetric monitoringThe system checks for any variation in volume inthe passenger compartment.The alarm is triggered if anyone breaks awindow, enters the passenger compartment ormoves inside the vehicle.Anti-tilt monitoringThe system checks for any change in theattitude of the vehicle.The alarm goes off if the vehicle is lifted ormoved.When the vehicle is parked, the alarm willnot be triggered if the vehicle is knocked.Rechargeable hybrid vehiclesDepending on version, interior volumetricand anti-tilt monitoring may be reducedor even suspended during temperaturepreconditioning sequences.Self-protection functionThe system checks whether any of itscomponents are out of service.The alarm is triggered if the battery, the centralcontrol or the siren wiring is put out of service ordamaged.Work on the alarm systemContact a dealer or a qualifiedworkshop.Locking the vehicle with fullalarm systemActivationSwitch off the ignition and exit the vehicle.Lock or deadlock the vehicle using theremote control or by pressing on the driver'sdoor handle.The monitoring system is also activated whenthe driver moves away from the vehicle.When the monitoring system is active, the redindicator lamp in the button flashes once persecond and the direction indicators come on forabout 2 seconds.The exterior perimeter monitoring is activatedafter 5 seconds and the interior volumetricmonitoring after 45 seconds.Door, boot or bonnetIf an opening is not properly closed,the vehicle is not locked, but the exteriorperimeter monitoring will be activated after45 seconds, at the same time as the interiorvolumetric monitoring.SunroofIf the sunroof remains open, the vehicleis locked with exterior perimeter monitoringactivated but without interior volumetric oranti-tilt monitoring.Central glasses holderMake sure that the glasses holder, locatedin the roof console, is closed before gettingout of the vehicle and activating the alarm.DeactivationPress one of the remote control unlockingbuttons:Short press.Long press.orAccess412
Unlock the vehicle by pressing the driver’sdoor handle.The monitoring system is also deactivated whenthe driver approaches the vehicle.The monitoring system is deactivated: theindicator lamp in the button goes off and thedirection indicators flash for about 2 seconds.After unlocking using the remotecontrolIf the vehicle automatically locks itself again(as happens if a door or the boot is notopened within 30 seconds of unlocking), themonitoring system is automatically activated.Locking the vehiclewith exterior perimetermonitoring onlyDeactivate the interior volumetric and anti-tiltmonitoring to avoid the unwanted triggering ofthe alarm, in certain cases such as:– Presence of an occupant or a pet.– Slightly open window.– Washing the vehicle.– Changing a wheel.– Towing the vehicle.– Transport on a ship or ferry.Deactivating the interior volumetric andanti-tilt monitoringSwitch off the ignition and within 10 secondspress the alarm button until its red indicatorlamp is on fixed.Get out of the vehicle.Immediately lock the vehicle using theremote control or the Keyless Entry and Startsystem.Only the exterior perimeter monitoring isactivated; the button's red indicator lamp flashesonce every second.To take effect, this deactivation must becarried out after each time the ignition isswitched off.Reactivating the interior volumetric andanti-tilt monitoringDeactivate the exterior perimeter monitoringby unlocking the vehicle using the remotecontrol or the Keyless Entry and Startsystem.The indicator lamp in the button goes off.Reactivate all monitoring by locking thevehicle using the remote control or theKeyless Entry and Start system.The red indicator lamp in the button once againflashes every second.Triggering of the alarmThis is indicated by sounding of the sirenand flashing of the direction indicators for 30seconds.Depending on the country of sale, certainmonitoring functions remain active until thealarm has been triggered eleven timesconsecutively.When the vehicle is unlocked using the remotecontrol or the Keyless Entry and Start system,rapid flashing of the red indicator lamp in thebutton informs you that the alarm was triggeredduring your absence. When the ignition isswitched on, this flashing stops.Failure of the remote controlTo deactivate the monitoring functions:Unlock the vehicle using the key in the frontleft-hand door lock.Open the door; the alarm is triggered.Switch on the ignition; this stops the alarm.The indicator lamp in the button goes off.Tracking functionIf an attempted theft of the vehicle is detected,this function sends a notification to the driver'ssmartphone.Access to this function requires priorsubscription to the Manufacturer's connectedalarm service.For any information relating to the connectedalarm service, contact a PEUGEOT dealer orrefer to the general conditions relating to thisservice.MalfunctionWhen the ignition is switched on, the fixedlighting of the red indicator lamp in the buttonindicates a system malfunction.Have it checked by a PEUGEOT dealer or aqualified workshop.Access42
