1010PRACTICAL INFORMATION116 CHANGING A FRONT BULB Handle the bulbs with a dry cloth. 2 - Main beam headlamps: H7-55W. Remove the protective cover cor-responding to the faulty bulb. Disconnect the connector. Press the end of the securing clips to free the bulb. Change the bulb. When fi tting the new bulb, ensure that the direction notches are po-sitioned correctly and the securing clips are fi xed properly. Reconnect the connector. Refi t the protective cover. 4 - Direction indicators:PY21W (amber). Turn the bulb holder a quarter turn and remove it. Change the bulb. WARNING: RISK OF ELEC-TROCUTION Front lamps In the engine compartment, remove the cover secured by one or two but-terfl y screws, a plastic retainer clip and two quarter turn screws. 1 - Dipped beam headlamps: H1-55W or D2S-35W xenon bulb. Xenon bulbs must be replaced by a PEUGEOT dealer. Amber coloured bulbs (direc-tion indicators and side re-peaters) must be replaced with bulbs of identical specifi -cation and colour. 5 - Front foglamps: H11 - 55W. Turn the wheels to full lock. Access to the bulb is via the fl ap in the front mud fl ap. Consult a PEUGEOT dealer. The headlamps are fi tted with polycar-bonate glass with a protective coating. Do not clean them with a dry or abra-sive cloth, nor with a detergent or sol-vent product. Ensure that the liquid used to fi ll the wash-wipe and headlamp wash reser-voir is of good quality. High pressure washing : when using a high pressure washer on stubborn dirt, do not persist on the headlamps, the other lamps and their surrounds to avoid damaging their coating and seals. In certain climatic conditions (low tem-perature, humidity), condensation on the inside surface of the headlamp glass and rear lights glass is normal; it disappears a few minutes after the lighting is switched on. 3 - Sidelamps: W5W. Remove the protective cover, dis-connect the connector and then remove the bulb and change it. Put the connector back in place. Reconnect the connector. Refi t the protective cover.
1010PRACTICAL INFORMATION117 Integrated direction indicator side repeaters CHANGING A REAR BULB (SALOON) Third brake light: Five W 5 W bulbs. Remove the plastic cover carefully by unclipping it at the centre and on either side, perpendicular to its direction of engagement. Press on the two tabs located at the rear, near the rear screen. Pull the red transparent cover out-wards while maintaining the pressure on the tabs. Change the faulty bulb. When refi tting, ensure that the tabs of the red transparent cover are engaged correctly and that the upper trim has been put back in place correctly. Refi t the lamp fi xing nuts inside the boot using the towing eye, if necessary. When refi tting, ensure that the lamp unit is positioned and fi xed correctly. Reconnect the electrical connector. Number plate lamps : W5W. Remove the transparent cover us-ing a screwdriver blade. Change the faulty bulb. Push the repeater forwards or backwards and release it. Unclip the repeater and change it. Repeaters can be obtained fromPEUGEOT dealers. Amber coloured bulbs (direction indi-cators and side repeaters), must be replaced with bulbs of identical speci-fi cation and colour. 1.Direction indicators :PY21W (amber). 2.Reversing lamps : P21W. 3.Foglamps/sidelamps :P21/4W. 4.Sidelamps : P21/4W. 5.Brake lamps/sidelamps : P21/4W. Disconnect the electrical connector. Unscrew the lamp fi xing nuts in-side the boot using the towing eye (stored inside the spare wheel), if necessary. Remove the seal. Unclip the bulb holder moving aside the 5 tabs. Unscrew the bulb and change it. Refi t the bulb holder. Reposition the seal.

1010PRACTICAL INFORMATION118 CHANGING A REAR BULB (407SW) Left and right foglamps: P21W. Carefully unclip the tailgate interior trim. Detach the sealing fi lm located be-hind the lamp in question. Remove the bulb holder turning it a quarter of a turn. Change the faulty bulb. When refi tting, ensure that the bulb is positioned correctly in the bulb holder. Unclip the lamp (2 clips). Disconnect the connector and re-move the lamp. Unclip the bulb holder moving aside the 4 tabs. Unscrew the bulb and change it. Reconnect the connector. Refi t the bulb holder. When refi tting it, ensure that the lamp is correctly positioned and secured, reclipping the rear part then the front part. Number plate lamps: W5W. Insert a thin screwdriver in one of the exterior holes of the transpar-ent cover. Push it towards the outside to unclip it. Remove the transparent cover. Change the faulty bulb. Third brake lamp (diodes) All work on the diode lamps must be carried out by a PEUGEOT dealer. Wing lamps 1.Brake lamps/sidelamps: P21/5W. 2.Reversing lamps: P21W. 3.Direction indicators: P21W. These three bulbs are changed by re-moving the lamp. Remove the corresponding boot side fl ap to gain access to the lamp. Remove the lamp fi xing nut inside the boot. Note: if necessary, use the wheelbrace to remove the nuts. In some climatic conditions (e.g. low temperature or hu-midity), the presence of misting on the internal surface of the glass of the headlamps and rear lamps is normal; it disappears after the lamps have been on for a few minutes.
