►To reactivate the function, manually switchthe dipped/main beam headlamps again.MalfunctionIn the first case, this warning lampis displayed on the instrument panel,accompanied by a message if thesensor is masked.This is a normal behavior, which does notrequest the support of a qualified workshop.Stop the vehicle and verify if the front camera iscovered by dirt, mud, sand, snow, ice or anythingpreventing the sensing.The system is operational again after thedetection field has been cleaned.In the second case, this warning lampis displayed on the instrument panel,accompanied by an audible signal anda message if a malfunction occurs withthe adaptive headlamp lighting or the camera.Have it checked by a PEUGEOT dealer or aqualified workshop.Do not cover the rain/sunshine sensorlocated at the top centre of the windscreenbehind the interior rear view mirror; theassociated functions would no longer becontrolled.Wiper control stalkBefore operating the wipers in wintryconditions, clear any snow, ice or frostfrom the windscreen and around the wiperarms and blades.Do not operate the wipers on a drywindscreen. During the winterperiod, use "very cold climate" rated products.Never top up with water.An additional jet is fitted above the number plateto clean the reversing camera (depending onversion).With reverse gear engaged, thewashing of the reversing camera istriggered by clicking on this buttonin the right side menu of the touchscreen.Automatic windscreenwipersIn AUTO mode, the front wipers workautomatically and adapt to the intensity ofprecipitation depending on the sensitivity of thesensor selected.The rainfall detection function uses a rain/sunshine sensor located at the top centre of thewindscreen, behind the rear view mirror.In certain weather conditions (e.g. fog,frost, snow, projections on salty roads), thedriver may have to return to manual wiping.Switching on/offTo switch on:►Put the wiper control stalk in the AUTOposition.►Turn the ring to adjust the sensitivity of thesensor.A wiping cycle, accompanied by the display ofa message, confirms that the request has beentaken into account.►To switch off, put the wiper control stalk inanother position or in the 0 position.Adjusting the sensitivityThe lower position corresponds to the lowestsensitivity of the sensor.The upper position corresponds to the highestsensitivity of the sensor.The higher the sensitivity, the faster the systemreacts and increases the wiping frequency.A rotation of the ring from a lower position to ahigher position triggers a confirmation wiping.After the ignition has been switched off formore than 1 minute with the wiper controlstalk in the AUTO position, when the ignitionis switched on again:– the system works, depending on the volumeof rain detected, as soon as the vehicleexceeds 6 mph (10 km/h), if the outsidetemperature is below +3°C.– the system works immediately, dependingon the volume of rain detected, if the outsidetemperature is above +3°C.Do not cover the rain/sunshine sensor.When using an automatic car wash, switchoff the automatic wipers and the ignition.In winter, wait until the windscreen iscompletely clear of ice before activating theautomatic wipers.Lighting and visibility794
MalfunctionIf a fault occurs with the automatic wipers, thewipers operate in intermittent mode.Have it checked by a PEUGEOT dealer or aqualified workshop.Special position of thewindscreen wipersThis maintenance position is used while cleaningor replacing the wiper blades. It can also beuseful, in wintry weather (ice, snow), to releasethe wiper blades from the windscreen.To maintain the effectiveness of the flatwiper blades, it is advisable to:– handle them with care.– clean them regularly using soapy water.– avoid using them to hold cardboard on thewindscreen.– replace them at the first signs of wear.Before removing a windscreen wiper bladeOperating the wiper control stalk immediatelyafter switching off the ignition will place the wiperblades in a vertical position.►Proceed with the desired operation or thereplacement of the wiper blades.After refitting a windscreen wiper blade►To return the wiper blades to their initialposition after the operation, switch on theignition and operate the wiper control stalk.Changing a wiper bladeRemoving/Refitting at the front►Carry out these wiper blade replacementoperations from the driver's side.►Starting with the wiper blade farthest fromyou, hold each arm by the rigid section andraise it as far as possible.Take care not to hold the arms at the jetlocations.Do not touch the wiper blades - risk ofirreparable deformation.Do not release them while moving them. Riskof damaging the windscreen!►Clean the windscreen using screenwashfluid.Do not apply "Rain X" type water-repellentproducts.►Disconnect the hydraulic quick connector ofthe arm from the filler neck of the worn wiperblade.►Rotate the worn wiper blade to the stop inrelation to the arm axle.►Unclip the worn wiper blade closest to youand remove it.►Install the new wiper blade and clip it tothe arm; a clicking sound indicates correctassembly.►Connect the hydraulic quick connector of thearm to the filler neck of the new wiper blade;a clicking sound indicates correct assembly.►Repeat the procedure for the other wiperblade.►Starting with the wiper blade closest to you,once again hold each arm by the rigidsection, then guide it carefully onto thewindscreen.Lighting and visibility80
Turn the ring to align the desired symbol with themarking.OffIntermittent wipingScreenwash-wipeIf the ignition has been switched off with the rearwiper active, operate the ring to reactivate wipingwhen the ignition is switched on again (unlessthe ignition was off for less than 1 minute).The first rotation of the ring to the screenwashposition triggers a single wipe. If the ring is thenleft in the intermittent wiping position, the rearwiper adopts a wiping speed dependent on thatof the windscreen wipers and the speed of thevehicle.ReverseWhen reverse gear is engaged, the rear wiperwill come into operation automatically if the frontwindscreen wipers are operating.It is configured in the Settings > Ve-hicle touch screen application.OffIn the event of accumulation of snow or hardfrost or if a bicycle carrier is fitted to a towingsystem, deactivate the automatic rear wiper viathe Settings > Vehicle touch screen application.Rear screenwash►Turn the ring as far as it will go and hold it inposition.The screenwash and the wiper operate for aslong as the ring remains turned.
