Standard viewDepending on the context, the area behind or infront of your vehicle is displayed on the screen.The blue lines (at the rear)/orange lines (at thefront) 1 represent the width of your vehicle,with the mirrors unfolded; their direction changesaccording to the position of the steering wheel.The red line 2 represents a distance of 30 cmfrom the rear or front bumper; the two blue lines(at the rear)/orange lines (at the front) 3 and 4represent 1 m and 2 m respectively.This view is available automatically or byselection in the left-hand side menu.Panoramic viewThe rear or front panoramic view allows you toleave a parking space by anticipating the arrivalof vehicles, pedestrians or cyclists.This view is not recommended for carrying out acomplete manoeuvre.This view is only available by selection in thelefthand side menu.Side viewsThe left-hand/right-hand side view allows you toview the surroundings of each side of the vehicle(e.g. pavement, low wall, other vehicle parkednext to it).Select the relevant view in the view fromabove the vehicle.The outline of the selected area is displayedin solid lines and the side view appears in themiddle of the screen.This view is not recommended for carrying out acomplete manoeuvre.Rear cross traffic alertFor more information, refer to the Generalrecommendations on the use of drivingand manoeuvring aids.When engaging reverse gear or when reversingat up to 6 mph (10 km/h), with the enginerunning, this system warns of approachingobstacles (e.g. pedestrian, cyclist, vehicle, truck,motorcycle) in the rear blind spots of the vehicle,using the radars installed in the bumper.The system detects obstacles moving more than2 mph (3 km/h) at a maximum distance of 40 m.The system operates in addition to the Parkingsensors, Visiopark 1 or Visiopark 3 functions(depending on version).For more information about the Parkingsensors, Visiopark 1 or Visiopark 3 functions,refer to the corresponding sections.The driver must monitor their surroundingsbefore and during the whole manoeuvre.Drive slowly and carefully in reverse gear incase of reduced or no visibility.Driving1656
Operating principleWhen an approaching obstacle is detected, thesymbol 1 or 2 flashes on the touch screen, in theParking sensors view or in the various contextualviews of the Visiopark 1 or Visiopark 3 functions(depending on version).The symbol is complemented by an audiblesignal when the vehicle is reversing.An obstacle is approaching inthe blind spot on the rear right-hand/ left-hand side or on bothsides of the vehicle.In the event of a malfunction of these visualdisplay functions, the touch screen, or if thedriver deactivates the views of these functionson the touch screen, detection of an approachingobstacle is still indicated by the audible signalwhen the vehicle is reversing.Activation/DeactivationIt is configured in the ADAS touchscreen application.The system's status is saved when the ignition isswitched off.Operating limitsThe system may not work in the following cases:–Towing a trailer.–Using a bicycle carrier on a towing device.–Extreme temperature changes.–Damaged rear bumper.–Accumulation or projection of externalelements (e.g. mud, frost, snow), stickersapplication.It is possible that warnings are not given,are given too late or seem unjustified.Consequently, always stay in control of yourvehicle and be prepared to react at any timeto avoid an accident.In the event of repairing or repaintingthe rear bumper, consult the PEUGEOTdealer or a qualified workshop; certain typesof paint could interfere with the operation ofthe radars.MalfunctionWhen the system isnot available (manualdeactivation, temporarilyunavailability, sensorsblocked, failure), these symbols are displayedpermanently at the same time at the left and theright, as long as the conditions still fulfilled.In the event of a malfunction when engagingreverse gear, during reversing or when the driverattempts to activate the system, a messageappears on the instrument panel, accompaniedby an audible signal.Have it checked by a PEUGEOT dealer or aqualified workshop.This message appears on the instrument panel"Parking Assistance Sensor blind: Cleansensor, see User Manual" if the sensor ismasked.This is a normal behavior, which does notrequest the support of a qualified workshop.In this case, stop the vehicle and verify ifthe corner radars, the reversing camera and/orparking rear sensors are covered by dirt, mud,sand, snow, ice or anything preventing thesensing.The system is operational again after thedetection field has been cleaned.Driving166
