It continuously selects the most suitable gear for the driving style, the relief of the road and the load in the vehicle.For maximum acceleration, without touching the gear lever, press the accelerator pedal fully down (kick down). The gearbox changes down automatically or holds the gear engaged up to maximum engine speed.When braking, the gearbox changes down automatically to provide effective engine braking.When you take your foot off the accelerator pedal quickly, the gearbox does not change up, for your improved safety.Manual modeThis mode allows manual sequential gear changing.FMove the gear lever to M.FPush the lever forward to change up.FPull the lever back to change down.Invalid valueThis symbol is displayed if a gear is not properly engaged (selector between two positions).When the engine is at idle, if positionR, D or M is selected with the brakes released, the vehicle moves on its own without pressing the accelerator.Never leave children unsupervised inside the vehicle when the engine is running.Apply the parking brake and select position Pif carrying out a maintenance operation with the engine running.Never select position N when the vehicle is moving.Never select positions P or Runless the vehicle is at a complete stop.You can change from D to M and M to Dat any time.If position N is engaged by mistake when moving, take your foot off the accelerator pedal, then engage positionD to accelerate.When the ambient temperature is below -23°C, the engine should be left running at idle for four minutes after starting, to ensure the correct operation and durability of the engine and gearbox.

You may then notice a pronounced jerk when changing from P to R and from N to R. This jerk does not present any risk to the gearbox.Do not exceed 62 mph (100 km/h) while keeping to local speed limits.Contact a PEUGEOT dealer or a qualified workshop as soon as possible.This special programme completes the automatic operation and makes it easier to move off and make progress in conditions of poor grip.Before switching off the engine.FMove the lever to position P or N.FApply the parking brake.FImmobilise the vehicle.FPress the T button, once the engine has started.The gearbox adapts its operation to driving on slippery surfaces.T appears in the instrument panel.FPress the button again at any time to quit the Sport programme and return to auto-adaptive mode.
